  1. Installing ThoughtMill(tm) Trial Version
  2.  
  3. The ThoughtMill Trial Version will let you try ThoughtMill for 14 days free. 
  4. After this time, you must purchase a registered copy to continue using 
  5. ThoughtMill.
  6.  
  7. Before Installing, please read the enclosed license agreement. 
  8. By using this software, you are agreeing to the terms of the license. 
  9.  
  10. Also, please fill out the enclosed user survey. Your feedback is very important 
  11. to us, and vital to our ability to create great products.
  12. If you are upgrading from a previouis version of ThoughtMill, DO NOT delete 
  13. the old version before installing, or you will lose your ThoughtMill data.

  15. 1. Start the InstApp application in your Pilot directory or folder.
  16. 2. Choose the correct User Name.
  17. 3. Click the Browse button. 
  18. 4. Choose the TMill.prc file that accompanies this README file. Click Install.
  19. 5. Click the Exit Button.
  20. 6. HotSync.
  21.  
  22. You will now find ThoughtMill in your list of applications, and you are 
  23. ready to go!

  25. Known Incompatibilities
  26. ----------------------
  27. HackMaster is a program that extends the abilities of your PalmPilot. 
  28. However, it also has some limitations. If you have HackMaster installed 
  29. and you are having problems installing ThoughtMill, turn off all your hacks 
  30. and try again. This may free up some memory.
  31.  
  32. CorrectHack version 1.01 and earlier has a bug in it which will cause a crash 
  33. in ThoughtMill. To fix the problem, please upgrade to the latest 
  34. version of CorrectHack.
  35.  
  36. Hacks that work on text fields do not work with ThoughtMill, since ThoughtMill 
  37. does not use text fields for editing. You do not need to turn off your hacks 
  38. to use ThoughtMill, and you may continue to use the hacks in other programs.
  39. Users of the original Pilot 1000 and 5000 should make sure they upgrade their 
  40. OS to 1.0.6. See the 3Com web site (www.3com.com/palm) for details on how 
  41. to install this free upgrade. Version 1.0.6 has much better memory management 
  42. than earlier versions of the OS.
